My One-month Contract marriage and his Three-month redemption

Rayflower
Louis Smith never believed in love, he always thought of it as a dead weight. Claire Montgomery never allowed herself to hope for it. When a one-month contract marriage becomes the only way for him to secure the CEO seat he’s worked for his entire life, he is left to ask the one person he found fitting— and she agrees because deep down she would love to fully understand the complexities of the marriage her friends have idolized. She’s been quietly carrying the weight of family expectations, personal insecurities, and the fear of being alone in a world that measures women by their marital status. Accepting this contract is her chance to step into control of her own story, even if it’s only for a month. Living together, sharing small moments, pretending to be a married couple… it doesn’t stay pretend for long. The walls they’ve built around their hearts begin to crumble, leaving them vulnerable in ways neither anticipated. And when fear, pride, and past pain collide, the contract ends and so does the fragile trust they’ve started to build. For him, it becomes a lesson in loss. For her, a test of self-respect. And for both, the realization that love doesn’t follow contracts or timelines. Now he has three months to prove he’s more than the man who walked away… to show her that love isn’t something you fear, it’s something worth fighting for. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~   “Marry me” he said, in the most calm expression.   I felt the breath leave my lungs. “I beg your pardon?” “I know this is probably coming off as a shock to you” he says, seated on his chair, arms propped forward, resting on his desk.   “You think” I respond, sarcastically. Hoping I had just heard wrong.    “This is not a joke, I am being very serious.” he said calmly.   “You’re… proposing?” I asked faintly.  “Yes.” he answers coolly.   I shook my head, confused. “But, I’m your secretary, you are my boss.”    “I’m aware, which is why I trust you. You don’t seem to be interested in me, I’ve watched you for two years,” he said evenly. “You’ve never tried to step beyond your role, never used familiarity as leverage.”   I’m still thoroughly confused, “Sir, If this is some sick joke or a test or some sort of of stress induced breakdown, I’ll suggest you inform your doctor.”   He laughed quietly, and I was surprised. He looks really handsome when he laughs.    “I’m perfectly sane,” he replied with a hint of humor in his voice. “Sit down. Please.”

Wolf Princess Sold to the Dragon King

"Take me instead." Three words. Guinevere Lunaris trades herself and saves 300 lives. Tied. Gagged. Underestimated by a mile. They chain her to a tree in the snow. Mistake. While running for her life, she meets a stranger in the dark and tells him to hide so he isn’t killed. Twelve hours later, he walks into her father's hall wearing a crown. The man she just told to hide in a hole is Maddox Drakencrest, High King of Velkaris. Ruler of an entire continent. Maddox hears his dragon say ‘mate’ right away. But her wolf is silent. More and more Alpha Kings enter the hall. She catches the tail end of her father’s toast and chokes on her wine. "—leave here with a virgin bride." An auction for her hand turns into a full-out bidding war. Maddox wins. 750 million in gold, three dragon fleets, and an urn full of the bastard who chained her the day before. Every force in Velkaris is betting against a wolf on a dragon throne. The Elders say the queen must be a dragon rider, which is impossible for a woman without dragon blood. The king's half-brother agrees with them, but his solution is a civil war and taking the crown for himself. If his brother’s rebellion wins, Maddox dies and she belongs to him. If the elders win, she goes back to the father who sold her. Neither is happening. Her wolf calls Velkaris home. She's not giving it up. They expect Guinevere to behave like a good little wolf princess and play along with their political games. She says bet.

The dragon's harem

What makes dragons strong? It's not their power or magic, but their mind. Arrogance, greed, Iron Will, and the lack of human restraints. What would happen if you threw such a creature into human society? Would they understand humans? What does love even mean to them? This is the situation that our MC, Arad Orion found himself in. A newborn dragon bringing "Might make Right" to the humanoids, but why? Due to an abnormal condition, the mighty void dragons are on the brink of extinction. Their bodies have suddenly started rejecting their kind. Due to that, Arad's mother dropped his egg into a forest where he could hatch safely, leaving him with a fragment of her consciousness and informing him of the condition of their race. From that point, his goal became clear. To save their race by either finding a cure for their condition or going the second route of making more void dragons. But, sadly, nothing is ever that easy. Finding a cure is almost impossible. Arad is still practically a newborn and cannot tap into the terrifying might of his race, and his rarity makes him a prime target for mages and scholars seeking to study the dying race. Dragons are arrogant, proud, and vicious. Yet those feeling extends to those whom they love. You who touched a dragon's love, Retribution is an insult, and life is a crime. Beware as merely existing draws the dragon's wrath. Follow Arad on his journey as he grows from a naive wyrmling to a grown dragon with enough wisdom and power to stand with the strongest of the world. *** If you liked the story, please support it with power stones and comments!
