A very fresh premise, I enjoyed the typical nobility trope from a different perspective. Most historical romances focus on the upper class and royalty, but servants and lower class are featured more here, even with the hidden identity trope. The writing quality is excellent, very few grammatical errors and good punctuation, which is largely refreshing. The subtleties between the characters are emphasised well and I can feel the emotions.Looking forward on the expansion of romance between the handmaiden and the knight, and curious to know how there relationship will develop! Thank you for a good story, author!! 😍
This Novel introduces a unique and captivating premise with its unusual law governing noble heirs. The idea of female relatives being separated upon the heir's marriage adds an intriguing layer of complexity to the story. The introduction of Rosamunda Fairburne and her older brother, Cenric, as orphaned children and Cenric's subsequent rise as the Duke of Dewsbury promises a compelling tale of family, nobility, and tradition. This setup holds the potential for a rich exploration of characters and their relationships within the confines of this intriguing kingdom. Readers can anticipate a thought-provoking and engaging narrative.
