Chapter 1: Ibere
In the bustling city of Lagos, Nigeria, a young man named Adewale stood among the crowds. He had grown up in the city, and had always been fascinated by the stories of the Yoruba gods and their mighty powers.

The spirit was tall and imposing, with fiery eyes and a fierce countenance. Adewale drew himself up, ready to face whatever challenge the spirit presented.
But to his surprise, the spirit simply bowed its head and spoke to him in a voice like thunder.
"Adewale," it said. "You have shown great respect for the spirits of the natural world. You have proven yourself worthy of our guidance."
Adewale felt a wave of awe wash over him. He had never imagined that he would be acknowledged by a spirit in such a way.
The spirit continued. "We will teach you the ways of the Yoruba gods. But know that this path is not an easy one. It requires great discipline, and great sacrifice. Are you prepared to take this journey?"
Adewale took a deep breath and looked the spirit in the eye. "I am," he said.
