Chapter 1: Adventure

It was the year 1820, A large ship with medieval architecture and exquisite design was loaded with a vast number of precious metals and possessions sailing through the Pacific Ocean.

The Ocean was calm and under the moonlight, delivering a magnificent portrait of nature. For a moment, everything seemed fine. However, at midnight in the middle of the journey, the ship was surrounded by raven clouds.

There was a storm in the ocean. The ship was engulfed by high waves and strong tides. The ocean was ready to swallow the ship at any time.

The captain of the ship was struggling tooth and nail to take over the control but all in vain. It was not easy to fight with the mighty Ocean.

"Hurry up! , call Lord Hughes Immediately," The captain barked an order in anxiety immediately to a young lad who was standing nearby and observing him struggling with the ship wheel.

"Yes! Captain," lad meekly responded. His fearful voice came out of his throat just above a whisper. He descended the stairs and penetrated through the luxurious dining area and hallways to arrive at Lord Leoandro Hughes's chamber.

He knocked three times on the door before it could open. He met a tall man with a pair of silver-grey eyes at the door. He was wearing a loose white shirt black baggy pants and a pair of black leather boots.

"WHAT!!??," Leo bitterly inquiried. Irritation laced the Lord's voice and it startled the young lad. Leo was angry because someone awakened him from his sweetest dream. He had insomnia but whenever he dozed off he became a heavy sleeper

" Sorry, for disturbing you Lord Hughes but the ship is getting out of control, and the captain wanted your presence Immediately. He needed help from you" the lad notified.

Then, the reality poured on Lord Hughes as a bucket of cold water. They were in the middle of a sea cyclone and the ship might sink in. He rushed through the corridor and reached out to the captain in a blink.

He grabbed the ship wheel from the captain and began giving orders to his subordinate. He was in charge now and to save their lives they didn't have any choice but to compel with the lord's wishes.

Everyone was rushing here and there, some were checking the boats and some were trying to save treasures on the ship but all were terrified for their lives first. Meanwhile, Lord Hughes was only focused on saving the ship.

Finally, after laboring all night they were able to pull out of the storm safe and sound without any major damage. When the day broke and the first sunray hit the ship, it was like a reward.

Leonardo ultimately returned to his chamber. His chamber was one of his favourite te places during his voyage.

A grin decorated his lips when he recalled his adventurous night. He was tired and his body aching badly, but he still felt the euphoria and the reason was, that he defeated the mighty Ocean once again.

So, after getting rid of his clothes which were drenched in salty sea water, he rubbed his body with a clean white towel and changed into a new set of clothes.

He decided to get a good sleep first ( if he was lucky enough )and after that write down about his adventurous night in his journal.

Lord Leoandro Vincent Hughes was a well-known and respected person in London. He was a viscount and owned a large property through heritage. Leoandro was a good-looking handsome man.

He had oat-white skin, black curly hair, prominent muscles, and a broad shoulder. He owned a perfectly defined chest and silver-grey eyes which were another heritage passed through the generations in the Hughes family.

Leo didn't lack anything in his life, but his life was not always sunshine and rainbow. He constantly had an emotionally unstable life.

After twisting and turning for a few hours Leoandro tiredly ripped himself from the bed and stretched his muscles, they were still aching. He strolled towards the window and peeked out of it, the ocean was peaceful and without any signs of mayhem from last night. He smiled while looking at the ocean.

The ocean seemed so peaceful yet so many mysteries were buried inside it, as their tale from the last night. Leoandro's chamber was the most spacious chamber on the ship. His chamber was packed with all his necessary equipment.

A huge king-size bed was attached to the wall near the window. A large working desk and chair and a shelf cabinet full of scrolls occupied the whole wall.

These scrolls were full of knowledge and experience information. That was why Leoandro treasured them the most.

The wall near his working desk was full of shelves and they were filled with all his favourite books.

In the middle of the chamber, placed another large desk and a world map play on it. The map was marked and pinned with some red and yellow dots at different places.

Yellow dots demonstrate the places he already visited and Red dots demonstrate the places he badly wanted to visit in the future. Although the red dots were only a few most of them were in the Southeast Asia region.

There was also a compass placed on the map to guide the direction of the ship.

Leoandro was turning twenty-eight this year. He was a married man with a family. No matter how many adventures his heart wished for, his soul now craving for his family and his home.

It was almost four years since he last saw them.

His beautiful wife Elizabeth and his adorable son Blake. He named his son after his late father. Leoandro admired and respected his father so much that It was a kind of tribute to his father. 'Lord Eliot Blake Hughes'

Leoandro dragged his feet toward the desk and positioned himself on his chair as he opened the first drawer.

The drawer was filled with so many letters and all of them belonged to his lovely wife. Her handwriting was so beautiful, It was one of the many things Leoandro always admired about his wife.

He unfolded the recent letter his wife sent and sniffed it, the letter still possessed the fragrance of his wife. Her fragrance relaxed his head but the content written in the letter filled his heart with guilt.

His wife tried her best to hide the fact, of how much they missed him. She always sent him happy letters and they were filled with his son's naughty actions and her cute little complaints.

But the smudged ink of some words told all the tale behind these happy letters.

So when Leandro received her recent letter he decided to take a break from his adventures and spend some time with his family.

His family needed him as much as he needed them, and it was the reason he decided to return to his family, to his home. Adventures could wait but not his family, not anymore...
