Chapter 1: The Origin Of A Witches Life

There's alot to this story and surprisingly this one is not even too related to the series. Annie, in the first Novel, discovers she is a witch. Well, I suppose my story behind the scenes is similar. Allow me to explain.

I grew up in a very religious home in a sense of the meaning. Catholic church for the first handful of years, then I was a Christian for a while. I walked away from faith during my parents divorce. However, I did find another comfort of sorts. I found my way into spirituality.

That may sound like a leap in concepts although I found alot of fundamentals of my old faith was easier to explain and understand. I spent years studying energy and how to balance my own. meditations, Tai chi, just changing my diet. all if these were steps I understood and took to myself and proceeded in my journey. soon enough I met an ex who was pagan. then later I was seeing another one who was a witch. although more a new age one. that's when I learned about a whole new world.

I know it sounds weird, but ultimately, I admit I am a Christian again. I found the stuff I needed to make me make sense of God and this infinite being they are. anyways, back to the craft for a bit.

I went into the practice of the craft because I understood stuff that worked well in the world of which we live in. however, not like pop culture portrayed, so I wanted to limit magic rules. I wanted to see a world that had more realistic styles of magic. sure I do allow some to be similar and solid. I don't want to make this series all about realistic witchcraft, but more so, a less pop cultured version.

I also want to help provide a less stigmatized version of witchcraft. so I hope that this fiction piece helps bring a bit of truth to you, even if it's small pieces here and there. I think it's important when I want my worlds to feel like earth to have some real relevance to earth or it's history in some way, however I also enjoy the creativity Fantasy allows. most times my novels are dark in nature, but I do this to encourage people that no matter what, you can also be that beacon of hope, kindness and love.
