Nathan read this ad for the game and knew he had to apply. In this world getting into a FIVR game is a way to change one's destiny. You could go from a nobody to a household name by your progress in these games. Gaming companies and Streaming services collaborated and are the mainstream outlets for media and entertainment. However, the true purpose behind Sanctuary Annihilation Online is much darker. Come join Nathan as he explores the world of Sanctuary and develops his skills to hopefully climb to the top of the planes. Will he become the greatest demon slayer, or turn into the worst villain?

Chapter 1: Nathan's Character Sheet

Hey everyone it's your favorite Author. I want to start out by saying thank you all for caring enough about the book to want to stay updated on Nathan's stats and everything.
The stats are important in a sense, but not really. I could make up random numbers and it would barely change the story at all. The gamer in me though won't allow me to do that. I actually have an excel sheet to add his attributes after he levels each time and how his gear changes his stats too. Maybe one day I'll make it a google doc so you all can see it. It even has his mana regen numbers and life regen.
The main reason I am making this is for you all, the readers' benefit. I personally find it an affront that all of these systems or video game-themed novels spam the hell out of the status page in almost every chapter.
I think it's word count fluff and for any novel that is premium, it's honestly a cop-out and costs you the reader more than it should. I was and am a reader of this website so I can say from experience some novels take the spam way too far.
There was a novel (I won't say the title) that I ended up dropping because it not only spammed the status every single chapter, it even spammed the description of the items he had on him every single time too.
The first time I read the description of the item I was like, "Hey cool lore. The next chapter when the status was "updated" it had the description of the item again, I was like "this is probably a mistake by the author." After it happened four times I started to realize that this novel had maybe two paragraphs of new information each chapter and the rest was the status, quest, etc filler b/s.
I'm not saying I will never post Nathan's status, but if I do it will be relevant to the story and make sense. I honestly was debating whether to include it at all and only post it here but, I know some people will never read this chapter.
I'll most likely add another aux chapter that has the gear he has listed separately too.
