Chapter 1: Shock of my life
Lilith was an eight year old orphan. She lived in Saint Mary's orphanage. Lucky for her, she had been adopted by Mr and Mrs Anderson. The couple were a middle ranked American family. Mr Anderson was a medical practitioner while Mrs Anderson was a teacher at Beverly Hills High School.
They had an eleven year old son, George Anderson. The Anderson's praised their son to the highest heavens. They said he was talented, handsome,smart and tall. Lilith was proud to have a big brother like that. She also hoped her new parents would praise her that way so she decided to work hard.
Her brother was good to her and her father treated her like a princess. Since she joined their family, no one ever called her Lilith,instead they called her Princess. She had a room all to herself in their duplex. This was something she had never experienced before because back st the orphanage, six kids shared a small room. She also had a governess, Mrs. Winter Roberts.
She liked Mrs. Roberts very much. She was kind and smart. She helped Lilith get accustomed to living a rich life. Now, she could attend parties confidently and meet up with other rich kids without looking for support from her brother.
Her governess had also taught her how to take care of herself. She even signed her up to join a camp scout group when they went camping this summer.
Lilith was a genius. She was so good at academics that she had represented her school in three different competition even though she just joined this year. Her form teacher had began to give her Grade 9 works and she passed them with ease. She could assemble 1,000 piece puzzles in twenty minutes, solve level 16 Rubik's cube in ten minutes.
Apart from her academics, Lilith was also a good tennis player. George was good at tennis and so she picked it up, along with swimming. In fact , all her family members were great swimmers.
George was taking her to the park today because he promised her last week. He was supposed to teach her how to ice skate as winter was nearing soon and they would be going to Alaska for their new year holiday to spend time with their Grannies. She wanted to impress them because she had knitted several matching sweaters for her and brother and had made some for grandma and grandpa as well.
Soon, she picked up the skill and had began to skate on her own before..BOOM, she fell in the ice. It was too late to save her and so she blacked out.
When she woke up, she looked around and found out she was in a different room. Her house was not this big to have a room this size. Maybe they had taken her to her grannies. Sighing, she got down from the bed. On impulse, she walked to the mirror and she got the shock of her life.
