Synopsis

And when the world ends, remember, that we've been together. ----- After Yana suddenly disappeared, leaving behind the cold and unapproachable Luka she finally managed to thaw, she reaped the consequences 5 years later. As a now CEO, Luka swore to do the very same thing Yana did to him prior: Make her life hell (spoil her) Annoy her (dote on her) And most of all- Chase after her While all Yana wants to do is to run away from him! "I'll buy the whole orphanage, give all the kids the best life so don't worry about them, come into my arms. You're mine and I'm yours." "No." "All the flowers, give them to me. I'll take care of them, so you don't have to. Now, come into my arms." "...No." "I'll become the king of the entertainment industry so-" "Stop! Please just stop chasing me!" But then- The world ended and they both... They both stood on different sides. As enemies. A desperate war for survival started but it wasn't until then when he asked her, "Who are you really?" In a battle of supremacy, in a fight for sanity what will precede? "I'll protect you even if storms trap me, even if I have to walk through the bloodiest battlefields, even if I have to pry open hell with my bare hands, I'll protect you, so wait for me." But the truth is, a dark secret lies behind Yana- "I don't need you to protect me. Protect your own life because you'll die." 'They show no mercy, this crooked world doesn't, so follow me to the end until we see them all burn.' ------------- Disclaimer: This will have profanities and foul language This is not a typical CEO story, as it later on will be more action-based! It will start out as a light-hearted and fun story but will get darker in the second half. The beginning can be considered a big prologue until the time skip and this story is rather slow paced. It's also a slow burn romance, so please don't expect the FL and ML to immediately get together! Cold FL x Clingy ML Picture does not belong do me. Credit to the artist.

Chapter 1: Prologue/Teaser

BANG.

Blood spills.

Head spins.

Ears ring.

Eyes dart.

I remember the first time I met him.

Cold eyes like the vast ocean frozen in winter.

Tousled hair and an air of indifference that surprised me.

"Who are you?" I asked.

I remember the second time I met him again.

"Yana, I came for you."

He said.

Eyes full of tender love. His touch gently caressing me, sweeping my heart in one go.

I remember the third time I met him after a long time of being away from each other again.

"I'm sorry," he said.

Sadness, regret and despair lingered in his eyes that were still as warm as the passing summer breeze, tying a tight knot on my feelings.

And I remember the fourth time I met you.

Right now.

Cold indifference, several times worse than the first time. Even hatred clouded once what had bloomed full of affection and bitter love.

What went wrong?

It all started and all ended with a "Please don't chase me, not even if the world ends."

So right now, I'm reaping what I've sowed with these words.

But you know, Luka-

If I could, I wish I could've given you everything. If I could, I wish I could turn back time and change everything I've done wrong.

...

Yana's eyes watched her bloody hands as her consciousness threatened to slowly fade.

The once warm and loving eyes of his stared indifferently at her.

Nothing mattered at this moment as both of them stood in the middle of the crumbling world, barely holding itself together amidst the ashes and corpses.

Nothing could change the fate that awaited them.

Silence hung in the air between them like a veil, suffocating and despairing as all around, the buildings collapsed and the last screams of people faded.

Her eyes spilt tears and her fingers trembled as she reached for the gun next to her and pointed at his cold form towering over her.

They chose different sides, chose to walk a path that led away from each other during the rise of the end of the world, amidst the bloodiest battlefields and most inhumane wars.

If only I could, if only it never came to this...

Yet fate was never benevolent but it was always just.

It solely wasn't the time yet.
