Chapter 1: PROLOGUE
AMORA ELISSE MONTEVERDE
"The best actress awards of this year goes to... Amora Elisse Monteverde!" the host said in the stage that made me smile while all the camera is flashing for me and i just stood up wearing my whote evening gown full pf glitters and are made only for me to this night. I am smiling but deep inside i already expected it. If not me then who? Who would take home the award that only for me?
I am walking into the stairs until i arrived in the side of the host whose holding my trophy he gave it to me together with a boquet. "Congratulations." he said and i just mouthed thank you and he also give me the mic to my speech, veteran actors, directors, producers and the fans who is cheering for me welcomed into my eyes.
"Good evening everyone i am very grateful to have this award again this year, my house is full of this but i liked going home with another accomplishment that i woudn't have without all of your support. So i am here in front of you saying again my thanks, and also to my staffs and manager who works really hard. Thank you for your hard work, thats it i hope you enjoy the evening."
I said and give the mic back to the host and i am already walking to go down to the stairs while waving my hands to the fans who is shouting my name for hours now. I walked and go to my chair, where i am sitting together with the cast of my finished filming movie 'The Unruly Furies' who is directed by the most famous director now Sebastian Archante.
Director Sebastian never goes to a an award ceremony because he was to private person, he is a type of person who usually never talks, he is cold, and ruthless in this industry most of the actors cried because of his coldness and unruly actions but i was never been one of them. I am an actress who is in this field for years, and i just only need one shot to finished it all. Im the highest paid actress at all.
"Amora, congratulations again you took home the award that every actresses here wants." my bestfriend Calla said while she's sitting besides me wearing a golden brown gown, she is also a cast from my new finished movie who top the charts for a week after its released.
Calla's skin is different from mine because she is a very white person while i am tan type of person, her hair is naturally orange wavy while my hair is long straight and is very black. Her lips is not as pouty as mine and but her eyebrows is very thick unlike mine, but we both have the same pointed nose. And our height is very the same to each other, we've been also friends for over two decade before i even entered this platform.
She is my childhood friend and also my one and true bestfriend, we live in the same neighborhood so it makes sense that we're this close. "Its not my fault for being too good at this field." i said and touched my hair looking like a real sassy b*tch, well i am indeed is.
I heard the chuckle of my bestfriend Calla Marie Lopez also knowned as Calla Lopez. "No wonder most of the woman in our field is envied and angry at you, you are too savage to be handled. How can you even date at this moment? You b*tchy attitude is worse." she said while laughing but i just raised my eyebrows and smirked.
"I do not need to find them they're all coming to me, b*tchy or not they still want me." i said and i saw her smiling and she raised the glass she's holding contains champagne, she's asking for a cheers. "I like your attitude, no wonder you're Amora Elisse Monteverde. The actress who keeps having best exes in the world. When will you be serious in your romance life Amora? Your not getting any younger you know. Look at me i am happy together with my son now, i don't have a husband but having a child is wonderful and you should try it."
Calla said that made me sigh after i sip in the champagne im holding. She had a secret child without the media knowing it, her son is two years old now and im the godmother. True she did not have a husband because her child was made because of a one night stand and she didn't even remember the name or face of her son's father.
"Calla, i don't really think about those things for now im busy with my career plus im also handling my Dad's law firm. Having a child or a husband isn't in my mind now." i said while thinking of what she said, making family is hard for me but i also want it. Because i want to have a family like Mom and Dad did, we're perfect and we are all happy together. "I think you'll find someone, im confident in that one."
I came back to reality when suddenly the phone inside my handbag on the table rang. I took it out and looked at who called and it was none other than mu Mom i answered it even thought its very loud in here. "A-Amora.. y-your f-father... your father died." after i heard the stuttering voice of my Mom my whole world fall apart, how could it be? I was just in home hours ago, he was still smiling very happily while saying goodbye to me why would he die.
My tears is almost falling but i tighted my grip holding my phone and making my self stronger to hold, even though im not. I want to collapse now.
"Mom what are you talking about? How could it be? What happened?"
"W-We're in the hospital now, your father had an heart attack and the doctor said he was dead on arrival." my Mom said nervously i can't hold on anymore my tears started falling the actors, fans and Calla looks at me but i don't care about anything now except being sad and crying. "Im coming, where hospital are you at?" i asked at give my trophy and boquet to my friend Calla. I stand up, and started walking through the exit of the venue, i wiped my tears while im still holding my handbag while my phone is still on my ears.
"Devion Medical Hospital." after she said it i ended the call and continued walking.
