Synopsis
Rayn Arcvicc was born during the hardest time of humankind. It was fortunate that he still alive, but he can't live normally like other people. He is being bullied because of his weak body and the disgrace he made to his famous heroic father. Under his father's disciple, he tried his best. At least, he doesn't want to give a disgrace to his father. Im not a WN reader about games and stuff, so Im completely oblivious in this genre, but I could say this piece has some potentials. Okay the first chapters were kinda fun to read, I think it will garner more attention from LN readers in this genre. I cant yet judge Raynes personality based on what he just did, I think there are still more to him than just your usual protag. Since he was somewhat unpredictable that he lashed out against Vana, but I think he has some reasons, which Im willing to see. The bullying parts was kinda of cliche, but it was still fun to read, so that one was okay for me. The refeerees and the other school officials should have stopped it though. But that samurai guy i think who stepped in was also a good move. The only flaw currently is the writing style, it still needs some details and polishing. But its only a minor problem which I hope the author can fix. The dialogues should be compressed (as I mentioned in the comment) and dont be shy to add, he said or she said, because I had hard time guessing who was talking. There are also scenes which are only dialogies without he said or she said, so I was lost in that part. But regardless, despite the writing style its still good. Just some minor tweaking author.
Chapter 1: Prologue
"My name is Grivra Oceandra. Leader of the 'Eclipse Flag' party.The representative of the 'Souldia Academy'. We are under Mr. Sian Arcvicc. My class is Vanguard type-1: Shield-Sword Warrior. And here are our party."
"I am Ravna. Vanguard type-3: Spear-Warrior"
"Hi everybody! I am Asron Sternstea. My classmate called me Siron. Nice to meet you, everyone! Ah! I am a Deviant type-4: Azurite Infuser."
"Amm.. umm.. Hello. My name is.. Yera Yulius. A Divinecaster. I am.. the healer and.. the main support of the party."
"Okay everyone, this is the time for us to challenge the dungeon. Don't ever forget your priority! Griv, I believe the most rational decision for the party to you."
"I get it!"
"Don't ever hesitate to call me!"
"Yes!"
Nod.
The oldest person there, the teacher. Made a confirmation with the 'gate' in front of him.
He signaled everyone before teleported somewhere.
All his student were readying their battle stance and silence covered the whole area.
This was the silent needed before the battle. Everyone was focusing on the 'gate' that gradually disappeared.
A fog that comes right after the disappearance was covering the whole field.
Gulp.
Slowly but steady, the fog was revealing silhouette of a hidden creature inside.
The silhouette gave off a very powerful aura.
"What is this.."
Shaking.
Trembling.
Terror.
ROAARR!
A strong roar threatens everyone on the field. With the roar, the thick fog was dispelled right away.
Everyone on the party covered their ears. They were disarmed simultaneously.
Ears were covered. Eyes were closed.
Unfortunately, it was not a dream. Once they open the eyes, they realized that nightmare might be better.
"D-d-d-dragon!?"
"M-m.. master.."
They called their master. The battle did not even start yet, but they already gave up.
The four humans in a battle formation. They are unarmed and harmless. Stand still with trembling legs.
Breathing from the creatures heard loud and clear. The dragon was closing its eyes. The surrounding energy gathers around him.
"RUN! EVERYONE! MOVE!"
Their master shouted out loud from afar. There were hopes, but they already gave up.
Every floating camera around has changed its main purpose. The government was aware of how big the event and decided to close down the network.
"MOVE!"
There still no sign of movement from his student. Fortunately, the Dragon didn't move either.
He reached the location and called their name. He was shaking everybody who has been frozen like a statue by the current event.
"Hey! Everyone!"
"A-Ah Master. You are here."
One by one, they start to wake up.
"Listen closely, you have to run. Don't ever look back. Keep running."
"B-But, how about you?"
"This is an emergency! Your safety is the main priority now."
"But you are about to have a child. You have to come back."
"If you are really worried about that, please take care of my wife and my son. His name will be Rayn and my surname. Please run now."
"Grivra. Let's run don't you dare violate master's order."
"But, Ravna.."
"You are the leader. Decide."
They were discussing what should they do. They were standing quite afar from it and still maintaining the focus.
The Dragon was still gathering energy with eyes closed.
"Master, how about the backup?"
"They will come, Yera. I'll buy some time to maintain the coordinate."
It was unfortunate for the teacher, that answer backlashed him.
A unanimous decision has been made through the synchronized nod.
"We will stay here then."
They formed a battle formation once again.
"Let's split."
Nod.
"WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING!"
"At least one of us must survive to maintain the coordinate."
"Y-Yes true."
"Don't worry Master. We will make sure at least one of us survives. I am a strong 'deviant', remember?"
"I am a Varhegal. I am best at movement. Rest assured Master."
They all sounding their opinion.
"That's not the point Ravna."
"Believe us, Master. It is our decision."
The teacher can't do anything anymore. They were his strong-willed student.
At that time, the Dragon starts to open its eyes.
The minuscule movement made them grip their weapon stronger.
"BATTLE STANCE! PRIORITY: SURVIVE!"
"Yes!"
