Chapter 1: An unlucky day..
Lawrence was on cloud nine..!! His pretty wife had delivered a baby girl and his adorable little angel was waiting for her daddy..! He was feeling sorry that he couldn't be there to receive his baby for the first time, but he knew she would understand... Daddy was working hard for her future...
It was past midnight and the road was slippery due to a recent shower of rain... Lawrence couldn't slow down.. not today! The earlier the better.. he drove at full speed past the vacant road ...
The tires screeched and the car smashed at a grandpa oak tree... Then it spun like a hurricane before falling off the cliff... He could see the last glimpse of his wife before his eyes now... She carried their baby...
Their Bella...
I am sorry baby... Daddy couldn't reach you, but I bless you to be the happiest kid ever.. Stay aside your mummy.. and never hear or utter anything that can hurt others.. !!
Bye Bella.. and the car crashed...
Juliet caressed her pretty daughter ... She already had thick hair like her and got pretty eyes and lips just like Lawrence... She was waiting to see his happiness, Bella would really surprise her daddy..!
"Julie.." It was her elder sister Annie... She was in her late 30s and lived with her husband in their house.. 10 yrs after their marriage, they still did not have a child of their own, so they had all decided to bring up Bella together... She would be really lucky to be surrounded by many loved ones, Juliet kissed her daughter on the forehead.
Julie gazed at the people sitting around her... She felt the sudden silence of the room deeply disturbing... Even the careful breath sounds of Annie seemed deeply irregular...
"Julie, It's Lawrence.. he.." There was total panic in her eyes.. and she started weeping miserably.
"Anne, tell me... what happened to Lawrence??"
"Lawrence, he met with an accident.. and.. we couldn't get there in time... you have to be strong, Julie.. you have a child now, we have to take care of her... Just.."
There was muffling of sound... Juliet felt her head spinning...
There was a big beep in the ECG... She was hypertensive and had a complicated pregnancy... Her body was in no stage to handle any more stress today...
Doctors rushed to the room... Bella was handed over to her aunt... A few more hours of pain... That was all she could endure... And her Bella... She couldn't stop the tears rolling down her cheeks...
Sorry, Bella... You have to live... Mummy and daddy will always watch you from above.. Be a good girl...

She closed her lids with an unsettled heart and rolling tears...
Annie did not know what to do... The newborn struggled in her arms but did not cry or utter a sound... It just stared blankly... She had thick hair like her mother and her eyes and lips resembled Lawrence...
But she did not like this girl... She is a very bad omen.. killed her mom and dad with her arrival... But she had promised Julie that she would take care of her daughter...so she decided.. this little devil will live with her...
" Doctor, is there any problem with this child, it doesn't cry or even make any sound.. ?" It was a few weeks after the tragic day.. and the baby never made a sound...
His answer did not surprise Annie much... "Sorry Mrs Jacob, she is born deaf and mute.. it seems.., but we'll see.. bring her here frequently.. we may be able to cure her to normal..."
So she is indeed a cursed unlucky devil... Annie left out a deep sigh... She did not care even if the girl speaks...
