Chapter 1: It's not that I'm smart, it's just that everyone's stupid

"Mommy~," a little girl called out in a tattle tale of a voice.

"Hmn?" the mother asked.

"The teacher said that I was smart again," she complained.

"Don't listen to your teacher," the mother started, "Remember, no matter what they say, it's not that you're smart, it's just that everyone around you is stupid-"

"And if I explore the world, I'll realize how ordinary I am," Liu Xiuren finished with a righteous tone.

"Correct! You're such a good baby girl," the mother said in a gushing manner.

Liu Xiuren was always number one in academics and it's not because she was smart, it was simply because everyone around her were a bunch of idiots. Though that didn't stop her from making a few friends among them as she often found them endearing as her mother has.

Similarly, her friends liked her as they thought she was cute. All in all, it was a great mutual friendship.

Sometimes they'd ask her why she was so smart whenever she scored a 100% on a hard test. To that she's say, "It's not that I'm smart, it's just that you're all stupid. And if you were to travel to the world, you'd eventually realize how ordinary I am."

Too which the guy sitting beside her would just secretly roll his eyes. 'Ordinary my ass!' he thought to himself for her really considered her a genius beyond this time. Coming from a genius family and being a genius himself, his words held a lot of weight.

As far as he knew, in terms of intelligence, they were tied.....okay fine, she was slightly smarter. But he takes refuge in knowing that he takes the #1 spot for physical activities (let's pretend that Liu Xiuren actually cares about that).

But....he'd definitely feel better if he also had the #1 spot for academics, that way he'd feel worthy of courting any girl he liked. And so started his one side competition in which Liu Xiuren wasn't even aware of. If she was, she'd no doubt label him the most idiotic person she has ever met.
